Approves $92,980,000 for Water-Related Projects in Texas Communities

Austin, TX -- The Texas Water Development Board (TWDB) today approved
financial assistance totaling $92,980,000 as follows:
- $5,590,000 from the Clean Water State Revolving Fund-
Disadvantaged Communities Program to finance wastewater system
improvements for the Town of Anthony ( El Paso County);
- $3,490,000 from the Clean Water State Revolving Fund-
Disadvantaged Communities Program to finance wastewater system
improvements for the City of Commerce (Hunt County);
- $74,515,000 from the Clean Water State Revolving Fund to finance
wastewater system improvements for the City of Fort Worth (Tarrant
County);
- $2,385,000 from the Drinking Water State Revolving
Fund-Disadvantaged Community Program to finance water system
improvements for the City of Eastland (Eastland County); and
- $7,000,000 from the Rural Water Assistance Fund to finance water
system improvements for the Kempner Water Supply Corporation
(Lampasas, Bell, Coryell and Burnet Counties).
The TWDB is the state agency charged with collecting and
disseminating water-related data, assisting with regional planning, and
preparing the State Water Plan for the development of the state’s water
resources, and administering cost-effective financial programs for the
construction of water supply, wastewater treatment, flood control and
agricultural water conservation projects.
